1. When someone corrects you, that
person is basically telling “you're doing
something wrong” I do not know anyone
who says “I just love to be told that I am
doing something wrong!”
2. Do you find it hard to take correction from your parents, teachers and other adults?
Then my article will help you do so.
What you should know
a) Everyone needs correction - James 3:2 “We may all stumble many times”
b) Being corrected does not mean you are a failure.
“Those whom Jehovah loves, he reproves, just as a father does to a son in whom he
delights” – proverbs 3:12
c) Correction can help you become a better person “Listen to discipline and become wise” proverbs 2:33
What can you do?
a) Look at the matter objectively
“Do not be quick to take offence for the lodge in the bosom of fools” Ecclesiastes 7:9
3. The correction that may hurt the most is the one you need most
a) Stay humble “ Pride is before a crush and haughty spirit before stumbling.
b) Be thankful - Should the righteous one strike me, it would be an act of loyal love.
Should he reprove me, it would be like oil on my head which my head will never refuse.
“My prayer will continue even during their calamities.”Psalms 141:5
